The City of Easley celebrated Independence Day in style as thousands gathered downtown for one of the Upstate’s largest Fourth of July celebrations. While country fans were originally expecting Easton Corbin, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Phil Vassar stepped in as the headline performer and kept the crowd entertained throughout the evening.
From live music and carnival rides to food trucks and one of the area’s biggest fireworks displays, Easley once again proved why its annual Fourth of July celebration has become a favorite family tradition.

Live Music Keeps the Crowd Going
The evening featured live entertainment throughout the celebration, culminating with Phil Vassar taking the stage. Known for hits like “Just Another Day in Paradise,” “Carlene,” “Six-Pack Summer,” and “American Child,” Vassar delivered a performance that had the audience singing along well into the evening.
While many concertgoers were disappointed to learn Easton Corbin would not be performing, Phil Vassar’s energetic show quickly won over the crowd.

Food Trucks and Family Activities
One of the biggest draws outside of the concert was the variety of food vendors lining the streets around Old Market Square.
Visitors could enjoy everything from barbecue and burgers to lemonade, shaved ice, funnel cakes, and other festival favorites while strolling through downtown.
Families also enjoyed:
- Carnival rides
- Children’s attractions
- Interactive displays
- Patriotic photo opportunities
- Local vendors

A Patriotic Downtown
Downtown Easley was decorated in red, white, and blue to celebrate America’s 250th birthday festivities. Patriotic displays, balloons, and themed decorations made excellent photo backdrops throughout the evening.
One of the most popular stops was the oversized Fourth of July display featuring patriotic artwork, the Statue of Liberty, balloons, and fireworks graphics.

Fireworks Light Up the Sky
As darkness settled over downtown, spectators filled every available lawn chair and sidewalk, waiting for the grand finale.
The fireworks display did not disappoint.
Brilliant bursts of red, white, blue, green, and gold filled the sky above downtown Easley, providing an impressive ending to a day packed with music, food, and community celebration.
Several of the larger shells created spectacular full-sky explosions that could be seen from throughout the surrounding area.

Another Successful Easley Tradition
Year after year, Easley’s Fourth of July celebration remains one of the premier Independence Day events in the Upstate.
Whether visitors came for the live music, carnival rides, great food, or simply to enjoy an evening with family and friends, the event offered something for everyone.
If you missed this year’s celebration, it is definitely worth adding to your calendar for next Independence Day.
