A pizza that fills the table makes its own introduction. At Merrill’s Pizza in downtown Easley, the menu backs up that impression with whole pies as large as 28 inches, alongside pizza by the slice. Add a brick-lined dining passage at Doodle Station and a menu that reaches well beyond pepperoni, and you have the ingredients for an easy stop during a day exploring Easley.

Find the Easley location on Main Street

Merrell’s Easley restaurant is at 101 N. E. Main Street, Easley, SC 29640. The restaurant’s official contact page lists the Easley phone number as 864-442-5062. The business also has a Greer location, so select Easley when checking directions or placing an order.

Easley hours, checked October 19, 2026: Monday–Thursday, 11 a.m.–10 p.m.; Friday, 11 a.m.–11 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m.–10 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m.–10 p.m. These are the hours published on the restaurant’s website. Check with the Easley location for holiday changes or a time-sensitive visit.

A Greer beginning, followed by Easley

According to Merrell’s account of its beginnings, childhood friends Ray Merheb and Willis Terrell founded the business in 2012. They opened their first restaurant on May 2 that year in the former Poinsett Bakery property. The Easley restaurant followed in September 2016 at Doodle Station. Those are two separate milestones: the company’s founding and the opening of this downtown location.

The restaurant describes its pizza as New York style and says it makes its dough in-house. That gives visitors a clear starting point for the menu without relying on claims about what every local prefers. A slice, a whole pie, and a folded calzone serve different appetites, and the menu lists all three.

The big-pizza question: how big is big?

The official pizza menu lists 12-, 14-, and 18-inch cheese pizzas, plus the 28-inch Merrell’s Grande. It also lists cheese pizza by the slice. The menu doesn’t specify the diameter of the pie used for individual slices, so a slice shouldn’t automatically be assumed to come from the 28-inch Grande.

For a group, the diameter difference is substantial. A round 28-inch pizza has about 2.4 times the surface area of an 18-inch pizza, calculated from their listed diameters. That is a size comparison, not a promise about servings, thickness, or how many hungry people it will feed. Choose the order based on your group’s appetites and other dishes, not a fixed headcount claim.

Ordering for a crowd? Ask the Easley restaurant about the size and toppings you want, the current total, and the preparation time. For pickup, confirm the box dimensions and make room for it in the vehicle. A very large pizza is easier to plan around before you reach the counter.

Specialty choices include the meat-heavy Mile High, the vegetable-topped Vegetarian Pie and the White Pie with olive oil, garlic, ricotta and mozzarella. Calzones and strombolis offer another way to order the dough-and-cheese combination: the menu lists ricotta in the calzone, alongside mozzarella and a chosen topping. Use the current menu for the full ingredient list and topping charges.

Salads, subs and other ways to build a meal

Pizza does not have to carry the whole order. The appetizer and salad menu includes garlic knots, garlic cheese bread, mozzarella sticks, and several salads. Its Greek salad is described as the house salad with feta, while the house salad includes lettuce, red onion, black olives, mozzarella, tomatoes, and banana peppers. That distinction matters if you are comparing the menu to a photograph or ordering around an ingredient preference.

The subs and pasta page lists Italian, meatball, chicken Parmesan and Philly cheese steak subs, among other choices. Pasta options include lasagna, baked spaghetti and chicken Alfredo. These alternatives let you place a mixed order rather than asking everyone at the table to agree on one pizza.

Families can also consult the published children’s menu, which includes a 10-inch cheese pizza, mini calzones, mini strombolis, spaghetti with marinara, and chicken fingers with fries. Cheesecake and mini cannolis appear among the desserts. The easiest way to confirm prices and offerings is to check with the restaurant when you order, especially if you are comparing its website with a delivery service.

Brick walls, string lights and a downtown setting

The existing photograph shows tables beside the restaurant entrance in a covered, brick-lined passage at Doodle Station.

The setting is part of the appeal. The photograph shows tables along a roofed passage, with exposed brick and strings of lights overhead. It’s more specific than a generic claim about a sidewalk patio: the entrance and dining area sit within a sheltered passage, with an opening to the street. Ask the restaurant about available seating if you plan to use that space.

For a downtown meal, leave time to park and walk to the entrance, and follow posted restrictions wherever you leave the car. A table pictured on a previous visit does not guarantee that it will be open when you arrive. If you are fitting dinner around an event, confirm the event location and allow a cushion between the meal and its start.

Pair the meal with a little Easley exploring

A downtown walk is an easy way to give the stop more context. Our story about Easley’s clock tower offers a place to start looking at the town beyond its restaurant menus. For the railroad connection behind another familiar local name, read our Doodle Trail history and visitor guide.

If you want to add a walk or ride, use the actual trailhead address. The City of Easley lists Doodle Park at 514 Fleetwood Drive, with a playground, outdoor fitness equipment, picnic tables and restrooms. This is the Easley-side trailhead, separate from the restaurant’s Main Street address. The city’s trail page lists dawn-to-dusk use, so plan trail time before dinner when daylight is short.

Heading toward Pickens afterward? Our Pickens Doodle Park guide covers the park at the other end of the corridor. Choose the Pickens trailhead address when planning that separate stop.

Make the stop fit your day

Merrell’s offers several straightforward ways to stop: a slice for a smaller order, a whole pizza to share, or a mixed meal with salads, subs, and pasta. Choose the Easley location, check the current menu, and decide whether you want to dine in or pick up. The giant pie may be the attention-getter, but the real advantage is having those choices in a downtown setting with more to explore.
