If you are exploring the foothills of Pickens County, heading toward Pumpkintown, or planning a trip to Table Rock State Park, there is a good chance you will pass Dacusville Pizza Stop. Located at 3072 Dacusville Highway in Easley, this longtime local restaurant has quietly built a loyal following by serving pizza, subs, salads, coffee, and desserts in a welcoming small-town atmosphere.
After hearing locals recommend it for years, we recently stopped in to see what all the buzz was about.

More Than Just a Pizza Place
At first glance, Dacusville Pizza Stop looks like a classic community pizza restaurant. Once you step inside, however, you quickly realize there is much more going on. Along with pizza, the menu includes subs, wings, pasta, salads, desserts, and a full coffee bar, DPS Coffee Express.
The restaurant has served the community for more than 25 years and remains a popular gathering place for families, local residents, and travelers passing through the area.
The Greek Salad Was Huge
One of the biggest surprises of our visit was the Greek salad.
Loaded with fresh greens, feta cheese, olives, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, and topped with a balsamic glaze, the salad was both fresh and flavorful. What really stood out was the size. The portion was enormous and honestly could have fed two people.
If you are looking for a lighter option, do not let the word “salad” fool you. This was a meal-sized portion and one of the best values on the menu.

Coffee That Stole the Show
We came for the pizza, but the coffee may have been the most surprising part of the visit.
My wife ordered the Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso from DPS Coffee Express. After one sip, she immediately said it tasted better than Starbucks.
Smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced, the drink had plenty of coffee flavor without being overly sweet. For a local pizza restaurant to serve coffee of that quality was unexpected and impressive.
The coffee menu also includes specialty drinks, smoothies, refreshers, frozen beverages, and seasonal creations.

Sweet Sauce and Big Flavor
Of course, no visit would be complete without trying the pizza.
The first thing we noticed was the sauce. Unlike many pizza restaurants, Dacusville Pizza Stop uses a slightly sweet sauce that gives its pizzas a distinctive flavor. The sweetness pairs well with the cheese and toppings without overpowering them.
The crust was cooked well, the cheese was generous, and it was easy to see why so many locals recommend the restaurant.
We also sampled the toasted garlic bread, which was buttery, flavorful, and a great appetizer while waiting for the main course.
Great Subs and Comfort Food
The menu extends far beyond pizza. Subs, burgers, pasta dinners, wings, steak finger plates, chicken strip baskets, and homemade desserts provide plenty of options for families and groups with different tastes.
The Philly-style sub and crispy fries were another highlight from our visit. The portions were generous and fit perfectly with the restaurant’s reputation for hearty comfort food.

A Convenient Stop Before the Mountains
One reason Dacusville Pizza Stop remains popular is its location. Situated along SC Highway 186, it serves as a convenient stop for people traveling between Greenville and the mountains of northern Pickens County.
It is only a short drive from:
- Pumpkintown
- Table Rock State Park
- Sassafras Mountain
- Caesars Head State Park
- Jones Gap State Park
- The Dacusville Community Center
Whether you need a meal after a hike or a coffee before a day of exploring, it is an easy place to stop.

Our Honest Take
What stood out most during our visit was how well-rounded the experience was.
The Greek salad was large enough for two people. The Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso was outstanding. The pizza featured a sweet sauce that set it apart from many other Upstate pizza restaurants. Combined with friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere, it felt like the kind of place that has earned its reputation through consistency and community support.
Dacusville Pizza Stop may not be the most famous restaurant in the Upstate, but it is exactly the kind of local gem that makes exploring small-town South Carolina so rewarding.
